In 2018, Ikigai Japanese Tutorial Center was founded by a Filipino Businesswoman. Japan played a huge part of the school’s president heart that eager her to build such business by building a bridge to Filipino people and their Japan dreams. 2021, when IJTC changed to IKIGAI LANGUAGE AND TRAINING SERVICE CORPORATION as a SEC Registered Japanese Language Institution. To ensure that the school continuously provides various high quality services in Japanese language courses, Technical
Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) has grant ILTSC the
certification to conduct Japanese Language and Culture Education.
2018年、フィリピン人女性実業家により「生き甲斐日本語チュ
ートリアルセンター」が設立されました。フィリピンの人々と
日本の夢の架け橋となるべく、このようなビジネスを立ち上げ
た社長の心には、日本が大きく関わっていたのである。2021
年、IJTCがSEC登録日本語教育機関として「生き甲斐語学研修
サービス株式会社」に改称。当校は、日本語教育において様々
な質の高いサービスを継続的に提供するため、TESDA(技術教
育技能開発庁)より日本語・日本文化教育実施の認定を受けて
います。
The main objective of our school is through Education, Consulting and assisting students who want to apply for programs offered by the government of Japan to foreigners.
当校の主な目的は、教育、コンサルティング、日本政府が外国人に提供するプログラム
への応募を希望する学生の支援を通じて、外国人のための教育を行っています。
IKIGAI LANGUAGE AND TRAINING SERVICE CORPORATION renders a Skills Developmental Service that will help students to learn Japanese Language (Nihongo) which will allow them to speak, read and write basic Nihongo. Through this, the students will be able to proceed to their preferred program through Student Visa, Specified Skill Worker’s Visa or Trainee Visa granted to foreigners (Filipino) by the Japanese Government.

を習得するための能力開発サービスを行っています。これにより、日本政府が外国人

The students are also encouraged to take Japanese Language Proficiency examinations to evaluate their Japanese Language Levels in different categories; Vocabulary, Reading, Grammar and Listening. A review class
is also offered to students in order to be able to pass and earn a Japanese Language Proficiency level.
また、日本語能力試験の受験を奨励し、語彙、読解、文法、聴解の各カテゴリーで自分
の日本語レベルを評価します。また、日本語能力試験合格・取得を目的とした復習クラ
スも開講しています。
We are also flexible when it comes to our services that we offer and will assess and adapt to your unique situation to assist in providing a better opportunity. We take pride in the fact that we build professional

PROLOGUE
序章
Japan and the Philippines have always been strengthening its bilateral relationship through foreign affairs, economic, security, tourism and educational support. If we trace out the history of the Philippines, Japan contributed greatly on the countries success where the Philippines has also adapted the culture and tradition brought by the Japanese Government during its colonization on World War II. Davao City is one of the cities where Japanese Military have invaded and occupied during the historic war where it has been named as the
“Little Tokyo” of the country. From that, it is undeniable that Japan and its culture were already been introduced to every Filipinos. Numerous people are living proofs about the shared heritage of both countries through Filipino-Japanese Descendants.
日本とフィリピンは、外交、経済、安全保障、観光、教育支
援などを通じて、常に二国間関係を強化してきました。フィ
リピンの歴史をたどると、日本はこの国の成功に大きく貢献
し、フィリピンもまた、第二次世界大戦中の日本政府による
植民地支配の間にもたらされた文化や伝統を適応させてきま
した。ダバオ市は、歴史的な戦争中に日本軍が侵攻し、占領
した都市の一つで、フィリピンの「リトル東京」とも呼ばれ
ています。このことから、日本やその文化がすでにフィリピ
ン人に浸透していたことは否定できない。多くの人々が、フ
ィリピン人と日本人の子孫を通じて、両国の遺産を共有して
いることを証明しています。
Ikigai simply means “Something one lives for” or “Purpose of life”. As a company, we chose this name because we want to be part on our students’ journey in finding and achieving their purposes in life. Ikigai Japanese Tutorial Center provides a comprehensive language and a balanced curriculum integrating reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar and vocabulary that would allow the students to acquire language skills needed for various purposes: To enter a university, get a job or for daily conversational use. The goal of the company is to help aspirant Filipinos who want to learn Basic Japanese Language and pass the Japanese Language Proficiency examination.
「生き甲斐」とは、「人が生きていくためのも
の」「人生の目的」という意味です。私たちは、
生徒が人生の目的を見つけ、それを達成するため
の旅の一部になりたいと思い、この名前を選びま
した。生きがい日本語教室は、読む・書く・話
す・聞く・文法・語彙のバランスのとれたカリキ
ュラムで、様々な目的に応じた言語能力を身につ
けることができます。大学進学、就職、日常会話
など、さまざまな場面で必要とされる語学力を身
につけることができます。当校の目標は、日本語
の基礎を学び、日本語能力試験に合格することを
目指すフィリピン人学習者を支援することです。
Moreover, as much as we want to see our students living their dreams, we also introduced the Student Visa, Working Visa and Trainee Visa programs that they could choose from to proceed after completing the language courses or passing the language proficiency examinations. In line
with this, we have widened our connections from local agencies to international schools and companies in Japan.
さらに、生徒さんの夢の実現に向け、語学コース修了後、あるいは語学検定試験合格後に、「留
学ビザ」「就労ビザ」「研修生ビザ」の3つのビザを選択できるプログラムも導入しました。そ
れに伴い、現地エージェントだけでなく、日本のインターナショナルスクールや企業とのパイプ
も太くなりました。

One of our purposes/reasons for living is service to humanity, Ikigai Language and Training Service Corporation has built up an organization called "IKIGAI YOU CARE". The organization aims to share blessings through community extensions like Feeding Program, Medical Mission, and etc.
Our main target is to extend help to people living in remote areas. As what Mother Theresa have said, "It is not how much we give but how much love we put into giving." We may not relatively know them but through simple acts of generosity and humanity, we can touch lives people. Seeing their smiles and gratitude, it warms the heart of the people behind this project.
